Research and Theory facilitates research and theory activities in all content areas related to marriage and the family. Two awards are sponsored: Ernest Burgess Award recognizing a distinguished career in family researach and theory, and the Teuben Hill Award for the outstanding research article in a family journal. Focus Groups: Men in Families, Families & Technology, and Qualitative Family Research Network.

NCFR maintains an e-mail listserv for each Section, providing an avenue for Section members to communicate. All Section members are automatically subscribed to the Section listserv.
