RELIGION AND FAMILY LIFE furthers the cause and study of religion and its relationship to the family. The study and examination of the impact of religion on family life is examined as well as the relationship of religion to other family-related disciplines and NCFR Sections.
Journals Publishing Religion-Family Research
As you may be aware, publishing family scholarship on religion can be a challenge. However, the past decade has included some moderate to significant shifts in the willingness of several social science journals to review and publish high quality work on religion. As you are likely aware, different journals have different biases. These biases change as the editors change and this should be borne in mind. With that said, a review of social science journals over the last five years (Jan. 2005-Dec. 2009) revealed that several have published at least one article with “religion” (or a closely related word) in the title. The number of related publications (2005-2009) is listed after the title. The lists are NOT all-inclusive but are for your information or benefit.

NCFR maintains an e-mail listserv for each Section, providing an avenue for Section members to communicate. All Section members are automatically subscribed to the Section listserv.
