Purpose


The Work-Life summit is intended to bring together researchers, human resource and employee assistance professionals, and leaders from business, labor, the community, foundations and government in order to highlight work-life effectiveness as an endeavor that benefits all stakeholders and furthers the agenda of bringing work-life balance to the forefront for the benefit of employers, workers, and families.

Join us for Pittsburgh's 2007 Work/Life Summit as we explore the impact of work life issues for Pittsburgh's regional workforce, organizations and talent retention.


Goal of the Summit:
To move the work-life agenda forward by linking the past, present, and future

Objectives:
  • To acknowledge and showcase work-life successes
    • From the private entrepreneur to large organizations including the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors
    • To identify leading-edge work-life policies from a variety of organizations.
  • To showcase current research affecting work-life strategies.
  • To strengthen the support for existing and new work-life strategies.
  • To engage work-life discussions among leaders from business, labor, education, government, community, and research sectors.
Products:
All attendees will receive a 2-part Report. Part 1 will contain the summary of the Summit speakers. The second section of the report will identify the players who have established good work-life programs in the area with some suggested implementation steps.
