Three CFLEs receive Emeritus status

Emeritus status is an honorary status awarded annually to a small number of retired CFLEs who have made significant contributions to the field of family life education. Emeritus status recognizes the awardee's continued commitment to the field and life-time affiliation with the CFLE program.

CFLEs elect four new members to the CFLE Advisory Board

NCFR is pleased to welcome the following members to the CFLE Advisory Board:
Practitioner Representatives: Susan Marsh, Parenting Partnerships, and Amelia Rose, FL Department of Children and Families
Academic Representative: Elise Radina, Miami University of Ohio
Employer Representative: Beth Quist, Working Family Resource Center

They join existing members:

Academic Representative - Sharon Ballard, East Carolina University, Chair 2010
Practitioner Representative - Panayiota Courelli, Department of Juvenile Justice
Academic Program Review Representative - Carol Darling, Florida State University, Past-Chair

Student/New Professional Representative - Tara Newman, Stephen F. Austin University

The CFLE Advisory Board meets monthly via conference call and face-to-face at the NCFR Annual Conference. The mission of the board is to “provide leadership for the ongoing development of the Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE) program as a method to advance and promote family life education as an important and emerging profession.”
